Enjoy Winter Trails at Willmore Park

Trails at Willmore Park are multi-use.

The Edson Cycling Association grooms Willmore trails in winter primarily for biking; however, all user groups benefit from firm, packed snow.

We’re proud to have a dual grooming crew keeping things in great shape this winter. Our club volunteers can be found on most of the singletrack trails running the club’s Snowdog, while crew members from Riderz Edson are out on the snowmobile. The Ski-Doo Tundra 600 ACE, supplied by Riderz, can be found grooming most of the parks double track trails.

A lot of time and energy goes into grooming winter trails, and conditions can change quickly. Please use care and attention to help protect the overall user experience.

A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteer winter trail groomers.

Please follow these general user etiquette guidelines when using our groomed trails.

  1. Fat Biking, Snowshoeing, Running, Hiking, Walking ONLY on Willmore Trails.

Please do not use Willmore Trails for Cross Country Skiing. If you are looking for Cross Country Skiing Trails please visit the Hornbeck Trail System - Maintained by the Muskeg Flyers - HOME - Muskeg Flyers Cross-Country Ski Club

  2. THINK BEFORE YOU SINK.

The cardinal rule of groomed trails. If you are sinking more than 1” please consider lowering your tire pressure or using snowshoes

  3. DON’T RIDE OR WALK ON A FRESHLY GROOMED TRAIL.

Trails need time to harden or ‘set up”. Time required to do this is dependent on variables such as temperature and humidity. But generally requires a period of falling temperatures.

  4. ADJUST YOUR AIR PRESSURE TO THE CONDITIONS

Fat bike tires should be at least 3.8” wide (minimum)

For Softer conditions ride with a tire pressure of : 1-4 psi

For Harder conditions and base ride with a tire pressure of : 6-8 psi
